Space Station Questions

Post by BoatRich »

I recently got a Space Station for super cheap, but it's not passing signal. Everything lights up and you can scroll presets but no sound. It seems like it's just input jack issues to me? Which should be easy to fix? Is there anything else it would be that I hadn't thought of?

Okay so I can't get tuner mode to register a note so I'm thinking input or both

I'd recommend building/buying an audio probe and poking around at the signal path to find where the signal cuts out. Otherwise there's basically now way to know where the problem lies.

you are correct then, I would say there is a problem with the input. it starts with an opamp buffer then feeds into a ADC then into some other IC that runs software. it could be the input jack that would be easy. I don't have time to look at it. I just found out that there are specialists that fix and mod these things. check the names mentioned in this video and the links in this PDF. or try posting an "I need help with my xp300" thread on diystompboxes.com

All four XP series pedal schematics are in my gallery, here's the shortcut;

Might help you trace the problem.
