KungFu Rick is great. HeWhoCorrupts is fun live but I don't care for them on record, I guess. Saw them at Dudefest 08 and 09. It was tight.

JR Ewing was/is legit. I have Ride Paranoia and Mælstrom 12"s. Would like Moving Units Dangerous Dreams (still a fun one to listen to), but that's not even in the same class.

I also just remember this music - and its subsequent effects on punk and hardcore fashion/aesthetic/sound - being very present in a formative part of my younger life. I think I saw He Who Corrupts' first show. My band played with them on tour in Chicago (in 2002, maybe?), and I was told by a few people that it was members of a bunch of other local favourite bands, but their first show with that band. Anyway, I've never worn a white belt, but there's a fuck of a lot of bands I know and love in this thread. I'll post some others later.
