Re: Dawn of Midi
I've really been enjoying the new album. Was my night time drive music for a while.

I love them, and that Radiolab short on them is great. They're one of those bands I listen to and am nearly constantly baffled by how they remember the progressions. The music is wonderfully written, but the performances are also feats in and of themselves.

Crazy to think they didn't write anything down when they composed it all, either. Just memory and audio recordings of them practicing

Re: Dawn of Midi
Yeah, someone told me about this record one afternoon. Listened to it multiple times through and walked up to the record store to buy a copy immediately. Truly excellent.
I had tickets to see them at Constellation in Chicago but the tour was canceled. When they came back through like an idiot for whatever reason I didn't go. Been kicking myself about that for a few weeks...
Interestingly I've been finding that if you tap the right way you can reproduce some of their piano sounds on bass VI. I've been thinking it'd be fun to try to cover a song, especially once my Echo Degrader gets here.

I had no memory of starting this thread. Now I'm excited all over again.
