You could use a cheap looper with it and save your loops! Easy solution! :)

I'll use an EHX 720 for this application, I just gonna purchase one. You'll can store up to 10 loops with it.
Fuzzonaut about the RM-1N:
"Amp in a box"?
No, there's no amp in there - tone fairies and feedback goblins live inside this box.

also i am just finishing testing a small firmware update for the rev k's that went out which fixes the mode 2 transcendence issue (shrinking buffer), adds level control to mode 3 (can turn down each DIR independently) and also attempts to resolve something someone i think not from this board was able to demonstrate, which is in mode 3 the write head is not quite perfectly aligned with DIR 1 when at 1:1 forward and recording so if you try to use it as a "normal" looper to layer there is a slight doubling effect. i don't quite have the fingers that guy did but we have tried to theoretically improve this latency, so hopefully it works out.

Hi hi. Got my Ct5 in the mail yesterday. Thanks!

Sorry if I missed it, but was this firmware update released yet? I'm mostly wondering for the individual volume control in mode 3.

*Note: I have a Digitech Space Station and the Ct5 can cover almost everything it does and waaaaay better. If you can't find a Space Station, skip it and buy a Ct5.

Go to mode 3 and hold the q switch down. then change the levels with DIR 1,2,3 while holding q down..

Excellent. Thank you Scott.

OOOONE more question... does the momentary switch do anything in Mode 1 (besides the filter thing)? Sorry if all of this has been covered. I seriously did not understand a DAMN thing about what anyone was saying about the functions of the Ct5 until I had one in front of me.

no i don't think so. only on 2 switch models, it acts as the Q switch.

Ah ha. I see. Cool.

I'm sure it's already been suggested but maybe a tap tempo in Mode 1?

Thanks!

the notion of tap tempo doesn't really work y with the algorithm because the delay time constantly changes.

you can hear the repeats are constantly getting longer or shorter with DIR 1 in a fixed position. the only notion of tempo is maybe the max delay time, which is some function of DIR 1 and LEN B, you could tap that maybe but im not sure it would give the expected result.

got mine in the mail two days ago and fired it up yesterday afternoon.
just from watching demos and stuff, i had 0% faith in myself in being able to actually understand this pedal inside and out, but holy cow i was wrong.
it's intuitively designed and it's super musical. kudos to montreal assembly for a radical, creative, and refreshing pedal design.
well i guess, but i just don't know.

In your opinion, (question for scott at first!)

Is it possible to use control voltage for specific voltage value into the expression pedal input without damaging the CT5 ?

My goal is to control the height of the notes played forward or backward more precisely than with an expression pedal.

I think I coule use a midi keyboard and a Midi to CV converter. (in my case OP1 and OPLAB)

any opinion ?

i think answered this in more detail somewhere way backup the thread, but in short you could try but it won't respond to anything above 3V and you can potentially damage mcu if you go too much over. so *i don\t recommend doing it at all* really. I will not warranty the device if you damage it this way.

yes it's not that hard, enjoy!

yes we do send out notifications so if you did not get one yet you will soon. I have shipped about 75% of the run, so it is a bit slower than expected but probably by the end of this week it will be done.

Just got mine yesterday. I just dove right in found tons of useable sounds in all three modes. It will definitely take some time to figure out what the hell I'm doing though. It's pretty intuitive, but I'm going to need to understand it better to replicate the coolest sounds. Using it with an expression pedal is the best. I love it so far.
