I de-stickered the VI. I don't like those Redbubble stickers. The edges peel up too easy. They were all getting dog-eared. Going to make my own using resources stolen from work, all on the company dime. Fuck the police.

Yea, the redbubble ones are not much better (if at all) than what you can do yourself, very, very sensitive to abuse and wear.
I found a company that would do proper vinyl print for my last set, not cheap, but then again, a real Kenneth Anger sticker wouldn't have been either.

Do you mind sharing your source? I don't mind ponying up for proper stickers, but I won't pay a dime for stickers that I could just print at home, or even something of only slightly better quality. I'll post my sg when I'm home and I remember. I modge-podged a picture of my baby onto the back, along with a bunch of stickers. I'm pretty proud of it

http://www.makestickers.com/ is who I used. They were decent (emailed when they weren't sure on source quality, since even the best Anger transfers from Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome are awful SD, confirmed I wanted to roll the dice, came out 10x better than I expected).
A little slower than I would have liked (turnaround wasn't bad for custom, but was still 10ish days between order and in hand), but again, quality was first-rate.

Don't you have a favorite team? I'm not into sports, but I've always had the notion of people rooting for one team per sport.

Re: Guitars + Stickers
They do. I've had this conversation a lot, and people tend to look at me like I've grown another head, as sports are very tribal and insular. Personally, I find sports fandom both fascinating and strange. I have a few favourite football (soccer) teams due to locality and family connections, and others because of their institutional philosophies (e.g. St Pauli). It's still very open for me though. I just love the game and the history that surrounds it.UglyCasanova wrote:

In North American sports, because I am not from North America and have no ties to that area of the world, I don't really have any favourite teams. But I have a real penchant for baseball and hockey as a spectacle especially. I watch a whole lot of it, almost constantly, but I mostly love the contest itself. One day I can root for one team, and then next week root against them, for no specific reason. I often do not root for any team, but just watch a game unfold. People get mad when their one team loses. I understand it, but I just don't subscribe to most sports in the same way. It seems kind of restrictive to me, and also not worth the emotional distress.
I've collected sports memorabilia since before I can remember, which I think is where it stemmed from. Growing up, I wanted a jersey, cap, scarf or anything physical of every sports team I could find. Aesthetically, I find a lot of sports team logos incredibly pleasing.
Sorry to de-rail the thread there. Back to the stickers, and the guitars they are stuck to!

Good answer
I dig some sport team logos, which is probably extra silly considering my lack of interest in sports.
