Not sure if it'll do Drop G. Max string is .13s.

Can do custom tunings, there's user slots for them. A quick reference says probably not with the strings currently on it (Gibson .009s, I'll be changing to my usual stainless 10s in a few days when I kill them like I do every Gibson set ever).

Honestly I do the Fripp/Crafty Guitarist perfect fifth tuning (which is easier in the GR-55 since it really requires specialty string sets), DADGAD, and some weird impossible stuff in the GR-55 (All Es). The robotuner stuff is useful just for variety outside of instant standard - a "let's see what happens"/break the normal routine without menu diving and using specific guitars with the GK pickup.

That looks gorgeous, and seems like the best Gibson has to offer, good to know they've made something worth while. I sure would play/love it! I'm wanting to get some robot Tuners for my The Paul II. I ever could understand the resentment. It's like hating on capos or pedals imo. Long live robo tuners!

Yea, I'm still immensely happy. Has all the standard LP jazz tones I want and onward to everything else.

I tune the thing with the robostuff (even having to repluck the high E) far faster than mortal man can do a touchup. And the repluck is usually end user error as I don't mute the strum after a bit.
