NPD! (with video)

Post by sevenSHARPnine »

a killer build by nbabmf in a bitchin' enclosure. it's a rehoused rat/brat modded to vintage specs with the LM308 and it sounds GROOVY :joy:

it's already found a cozy spot between my stanimal '69 and my Algal Bloom :hobbes:

nbabmf does make some great pedals! Can't go wrong having it between to ILF pedals.

You use it stacked?
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Current ILF Love: OHNOHO CHK CHK BOOM, Mellowtone Melx Fuzz 2, EQD Dream Crusher, Devi Ever ID, Dr. Scientist Proto-Miniberator - new vids eventually

Affirmative, I love the way it sounds with my Singing Tree going into it :animal:

Truth be told it's actually my first Rat. I used to be a strictly Muff-variant guy, but they're just so damn hard to use live (with a few exceptions) that I've started looking elsewhere. This Rat is sick, super versitile. Now I see what I've been missing. It pretty much sounds good however I have it set :thumb:

I've always wanted a rat actually but never bought one, mainly because everyone says the newer ones aren't as good as the older ones and the older ones are $$$ and certain older ones aren't great so you should really get this particular one yadda yadda yadda....

i actually build a pedal based on the rat and designed by BJFE called the Dyna Red Distortion... to me it's pretty much a modified rat with a bit more versatility but it is 100% the sound i hear in my head whenever i fantasize playing for my dear old much loved 90's grunge bands....

sevensharp, would love to see a pic of the guts, you don't have to post it here but i'd love to take a look, i'm a big fan of supporting our builders (since you guys are so gracious to do so with me) and i'd love to have nba build one for me..... :thumb:

OH, and do you have a demo up for it??

Yeah if nbabmf is cool with it, I'd be happy to take some shots of the innards!

I'm probably gonna hammer one out today :thumb:
