It claims to be an "underdrive" as well as having a different approach to creating drive—I have no idea what it does or how it does it, but it is noticeably off the path control-wise. The two knobs are very interactive, plus some gain changes via the switch. It's kind of like a Speaker Cranker on steroids.
I think that's a clever way of saying it has a pregain control
Yeah personally I always thought like their description sounded a bit like snake oil. Fortunately, it delivers sound-wise.

The TC electronic MojoMojo is pretty neat for $50.

What is this "low" gain you speak of?

I mean something that boosts and enhance your sound but distort when you pick it hard.

No, there's no amp in there - tone fairies and feedback goblins live inside this box.

Ah yea, I missed that it's based off their zombie pedal.

Speaking of KoTs, my number just came up. Was thinking of just passing but figured I should definitely at least try it after waiting this long (1 year? More?).

If I don't like it, may be a dibs on the flip kind of situation...

I can't believe I just bought another fucking OD.

By the way, that new Looking Glass OD from DOD & Shoe sounds as amazing as expected. Not much of a surprise when two very impressive/master drive circuit people are working together. A hell of a lot easier to buy than a straight up Shoe Savior Machine too, especially when the dude doesn't reply to your emails LOL

There is a Haymaker for sell on a French forum. I never listened to this pedal but I found it really nice sounding. I put it on my list.

There's a used one local for like $35. Do you have one?

Another vote for a Fairfield Barbershop. The DOD Looking Glass looks interesting.
