Quick questions (baby's first wiring diagram)

Post by mws »

Hi wiring masters. I'm ripping my mustang build apart and making it a musicmaster-inspired beast with a single Firebird style pickup in the neck position, G&L style passive treble + bass cut controls (http://www.guitar-mod.com/images/strat_PTB.jpg), and a switch to bypass all the controls to go straight to the jack. I've referenced this blog post on that: https://www.seymourduncan.com/blog/the- ... wer-switch

I guess I'm not 100% clear how the on-on switch works in this situation. The blog post seems to tell me when I connect the on-on switch to the jack, I no longer have to connect the volume pot to the jack. Is this right? Also, does it matter if I go straight to the volume or tone pot from the on-on switch? Any difference?

Here's the diagram I put together. Would appreciate any feedback! Cheers!
