I mean, I generated my sounds with a complex combination of Max/MSP and specialized algorithms devised just for this particular project, filtered through a Buchla and several Moogerfooger prototypes that never made it into production... yeah, that's the ticket...

I used randomness on my clean sample. And lots of noise for my dirty sample.

Mine have boring names though.

I can tell you that you running this absolutely did not influence my samples. I just decided to make a clean one and a dirty one to make it more usable for as many different styles as possible.

You being involved gave me confidence this thing would actually happen unlike most of the internet organized projects.

Ok, so, here's where we're at. We're waiting on goroth's samples, for sure (he's been PM'd) and Sam's for maybes (he's also been PM'd). My timeline is basically 24 hours from now -- in that I'll be away from ILF, so I'd like to have everything delivered to all of you via Dropbox before then. Once I get back, we'll set up a completion date/answer any lingering questions/doubts/etc.

Also, for sake of my sanity, I added your username or a fascimilie thereof to each sample, so you'll be getting those. Looks like we're mostly WAV with some AIF, which should work well with any DAW worth it's salt and some that aren't.

without any express implication that this is something we will do for this project, is there any interest in sharing the stems for each track as well as the finished 'songs'? That could help tie into the process explanation a bit.

I'm down to share the samples, even give an explanation of how I achieved things, but I'm not sure I want to give out the stems. I much rather teach someone how to mix their paint than give them a color by numbers.
