I don't know of any direct descendants of the circuit, but the schem is totally free & available - are you looking to have one made? Or are you looking to see what tweaks/edits/updates have been done by existing builders?

While it does sound like a dirty PT2399 with lots of clocking noise, it does not sound like a Memory Loss.

There are 5 versions of the memory loss (and they do vary...just glanced at v1 and v3). The memory loss and echo bender share a lot of the same basic ideas (basic pt2399 stuff and gain stage).

They are different enough even though they look similar at a glance (the connections are different and stuff). I think there is a possibility that the mem loss could have started life as an echo bender...but I think it has a lot of similarities to other seppuku circuits (his gain thing so if is probably just as possible that they are bends using similar circuit bending techniques on the same base circuit). (Similar parts between the two but going different places...but that was just a quick glance)...but, who knows?

The echo bender page says that it was focused on shorter times but the memory loss seems to have longer times (depending on the version). I don't know if the echo bender is meant to reset itself or only capture a slice of input (weird things the memloss does) but that is the focus of the mem loss.

I dunno? Maybe it is, maybe not? It seems like something that would happen randomly kinda in a way (take a pt2399 circuit and bend it). But, then again, the mem loss may be a relative of the echo bender.

Good thought man!

But I agree with UC that they do not sound the same though.

Anyway, the mem loss is functionally different enough to be something different to me. :idk:

As for other circuits? I don't know really. Might be a thing like "this guy did it right and it is out there, not much to add here" kinda thing.

Mostly to see what tweaks have been made as well as any commercially available, easy-to-obtain units.

I always think "man I could build that!" but then time, money, life etc happens, so, you know.

I'd be interesting to see a builder here release a run. What's the ILFDD based on?

Dunno about the ILFDD, but dminner did an Echo Bender for himself that he sold in b/s/t, which I snagged. Haven't had a second to play it this week, which is driving me nuts.

That said, I have often thought about getting someone savvy in electronics (read: not me) to survey the circuit and really see what could be done with it... bit o' local pride, what with Casper being in pvd when he designed/built them...

I wonder what these effects have in common with the echobender-

recovery cutting room floor, midficlarinot, industrialectric echo degrader, mr black downward spiral, lots of seppuku stuff
these all kind of seem to have a large part of the effect being increased downward modulation with increase in signal ?(how hard you are hitting the strings)
I think I read a post on casper about the echo bender starting from the rebote delay?

theyre all pt2399 delays exploited in ways that are unique. i'd like to add the judder to the list. also take downward spiral out since thats fv-1 based

No shit? I've always thought the Judder was FV-1 based.
