I think the RMA look is bad ass!
But crochambeau is right, you could get someone like DanW to put it in an etched case of your choosing.

Re: Looking for a Low gain OD
My AC15 sucks balls with whatever dirt pedal I throw at it, at least imo.
Except my hotcake though, which tends to sound dark and muddy with other amps, especially at higher gain settings. But with the vox it sounds okay dialed in for fuzzy toanz, and it shines at lower gain stuff. It's not particularly hip or whatever, it's just a straight forward solid overdrive pedlol that's capable of going both ways of the gain spectrum, and it can be had for WAY less than your $200

Thanks! Just to be clear, I have NO intention whatsoever of abandoning my present look. I just don't want to paint myself into a corner on it.lordgalvar wrote:I think the RMA look is bad ass!

Regarding the Tetanus Booster, there is no native tone control (which might be another down vote); but it is the one PCB I have planted on other builders with successful results, so if you have a local builder you'd like to support and happen to dig the sound that would be another option.
I aim to have a halfway decent demo uploaded tonight or tomorrow.

I must confess that I haven't been further and haven't heard anything. I should cause I asked Andrew to make a simple black rm-1n because I didn't like the rust finish...

No, there's no amp in there - tone fairies and feedback goblins live inside this box.

DOD Overdrive 250 is cheap & plenty in supply, since somehow nobody mentioned it yet? Or maybe I am missing something (it's late, I'm tired). Circuit has been the basis for many blast-off points for other pedals (every era of its variations/iterations), but the reissue is nice & sparkly & currently around $50 USD before shipping.

^ Not a bad call. Though with a budget of $200 i guess it'd make sense to go with something that comes with at least some sort of eq
I'm a 'less is more' kinda guy too, one knob fuzzes and boosters just drip with mojo imo. But when using different amps and guitars, something like a tone control can make a huge difference imo...

Less than $200 is also better. I can't imagine giving more than 200 bucks for an OD anymore. But yeah, if it's something special (i.e. Fuck) I can make an effort.

Re: Looking for a Low gain OD
The Lotus Snowjob is a great low gain OD, and pretty unique. It claims to be an "underdrive" as well as having a different approach to creating drive—I have no idea what it does or how it does it, but it is noticeably off the path control-wise. The two knobs are very interactive, plus some gain changes via the switch. It's kind of like a Speaker Cranker on steroids.
I also like the Greer Lightspeed.

I think that's a clever way of saying it has a pregain controlpopvulture wrote:The Lotus Snowjob is a great low gain OD, and pretty unique.
