Super Ego-whammy-mel 9 tracking

Post by Confuzzled »

Thanks to everyone for the cable advice in the previous post. I read an article the other day with regards to putting the digitech whammy at the front of the effects chain because dirt before it can screw with the tracking. Would the same hold true with the super ego & mel 9? I just started re-drawing my board at a 1:1 scale so I can measure and guesstimate the cable lengths but now I'm wondering if I should re-consider the order altogether?

There's no tracking issues with the Super Ego, it basically samples whatever is coming into it. Unless you mean tracking = triggering in auto mode, which would benefit from having dirt before it because sometimes it doesn't trigger very easily.

It's more like this has been driving me nuts and all those damn wires. I want to be able to have one of those boards with the nice tied off cables that I can unpack my board and play (I keep it in the pedal train carry bag because we're in a 1 room apartment).

I came up with an alternative setup. The nice thing about doing a 1:1 is that it allows me to move stuff around and it should all fit… it should.

Who am I kidding? I know I fucked up somewhere….

so this is with the whammy/super ego (with nux time core that I pussied out on bending and mel 9 in the effects loop) pre dirt.
