Yeah same with the Danelectro Corned Beef, uses a delay chip with short times for a reverb-like effect.

this is one of those times where 'analog' is not-so-secretly analogous (oh yeah I did it) to 'sounds good', I think.

I'm sure the DOD was a slapback and the dc50 kinda is a little different (more kinda swell-like...still short delay though)...but worth mentioning anyway. The DOD was branded as a reverb (which is why I put it in quotes).

There is a swell/echo setting on the Evans tape machines that has a washy, not defined, almost reverb-like quality too.

Yea, DC50 wasn't a pedal though. It was the size of a loaf of bread!

Is that why mine didn't fit on a pedal board?

Yep! It was like trying to fit an Ibanez AD-100 on the board!

Stereo through TRS I'm sure was a convenient space saver but something that annoys me in a guitar pedal, just like Boss' Bass DI with balanced out through TRS.

Yeap. I rehoused one not too long ago. Sounded really good tbh.

Back on topic, I think the MXR sounds good from the demos :snax:

Fuck that vulgar location-hopping demo, but it does sound good I guess. I like the brown sparkle finish. Makes me want to see one next to an OC-2.

Damn, now I'm thinking I want an all brown mini board...

Seems pretty good but probably inferior to a Polara.

Sounds pretty nice. At least their version of shimmer reverb has some modulation on it.

There are a ton of options for multi-reverbs that all feature the same basic types. I'd be interested in a multi-reverb that has only weird, new, novel takes on reflection.

Yes, the dry path is analogue according to the website. That seems to be the angle their marketing focuses on, which isn't necessarily bad, but perhaps misleading. :idk:

Am I the only one that actually kinda liked the demo and pedal? :idk:
I mean, compare that to the usual Dunlop demos with that annoying, goatee and fedora wearing motherfucker that's louder than Billy Mays with a megaphone.
That being said, I already know I'm not gonna buy one because I'd rather spend money on the super rad (and simpler) reverbs from OBNE than an MXR pedal that will ultimately be used on 1 or 2 settings at most.
Maybe that's why I don't like reverb machines...

Sounds pretty good, but nothing is making me want to A/B it with my Boss RV-6. Even if it were the same price.
