Hello All, My name is mike and I've been building for a couple years now. I've been a regular over at MBP forum and one of the guys there (DMinner) said i should join here as well. So here are a couple builds that I have completed in the past year or so.

This is a Foxx Tone Machine work alike. (PCB layout by MBP)

First successful DIY build ever today! I really enjoyed doing it, so relaxing. Hoping to just keep on picking up kits and enjoy the ride while trying to build more complex stuff (looking at you, MI!)

it did take me a couple hours just to do that small board. as long as I quietly took my time it's actually quite peaceful to solder. thank you for the compliment though!

I've been wanting to get started with building pedals for a bunch of years now.
Time has always been an issue (still is); and then, there's getting over the initial hump of getting started.
I finally did get started over the Christmas break and now I'm totally addicted and have a long, long future builds list to show for it.
I can't wait to get started on my next build!

@cherier - yep. Lo-fi, telephone mic. Sounds great on it's own (desired effect), but also when paired with a 57 and you split the difference in the mix. It adds a lot to the overall signal.

Have a schematic or instructions you worked from? Looks awesome!

It's dead-simple to do. I used this as the basis for it: http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-a- ... e-Speaker/
but google it, there's a ton of info out there. Just remember to use the ear-piece and not the mouth-piece!

I think it took me 10x longer to find the right phone and figure out what the hell to do with it, because I didn't want to use the receiver
I'd had an old, busticated IKEA lamp sitting around for forever - after I got an old phone (for free!), it probably took me about 6 months of goofing around with other "containers" before I realized that the freakish-ly perfect thing was right under my nose.

Yup, same theory as a subkick. Speakers wired in reverse makes a good lo-fi mic. Get a big speaker, throw it in front of a kick drum, and you have a big badda boom.

Dig the hell out of the diy projects DADGBD. Love the simple look.
