Alone shows rule! I love getting slightly drunk and then just disappearing in the music but feeling this presence of a heap of people around you enjoying the same show. It's good
Also Jwar, Amon Amarth is one of the best live bands ever. And the new album has some good banging tunes on it.
Gorguts the other night was one of my best live experiences ever. Still stoked about it.

That’s quarter-assed at best.
+1 for alone shows. Saw both Lightning Bolt and Ghost last year alone. Met people at the show and had an excellent time. I feel like just going alone and meeting new people there is the best way to go to shows. Usually why I bring smokes and a lighter in my "gig survival bag". Always a good convo starter.
And yes, both shows were a fucking experience. LB a bit more, but did not lessen the emotion I felt watching Ghost play Circle live.

But seriously. Colin bass tone live is orgasmic.
Jealous I can't see them again.
Yeah, was planning on trying to catch all four bands and get my money's worth/ears broke/support the touring bands.
Love those guys, I'm struggling to think of three more talented metal guitarists in the same band as of right now, and two of them will be playing twice! Yassssss

Palm fucking killed it tonight. They were tight enough to be on top of all their rhythm changes as one cohesive mass, but loose enough to ebb and flow and play off each other in a really fun way. The interplay of all their parts is really god damn cool. Very happy they're a local band and hope to see them again and again.

Guess what show got cancelled because of a broken bus window?
Bet you it's the only date of the tour that they don't play. Typical.

You know it may sound weird, but Collective Soul is coming to town as well and I really want to see them. I've loved that bands since I was like 14. I own 7 or 8 of their cd's. Love them all.

Honestly I'm not sure. I was looking at the website of this new venue that opened up and saw that they were playing. I thought Gen retired from music a while ago. Figure it's worth checking out.
I know Amanda Palmer doesn't get any love here at all, but I'm really excited to see the Dresden Dolls live in Boston later this year. I grew up listening to them, so it's a huge childhood dream to see them.
