Announcing Unified Guitar Works (aluminum/wood guitars)
Two years ago, I decided to leave my job as an industrial designer to begin working in earnest on building what I love - guitars. I’ve been working on instruments for myself and friends for the last ten years, and it finally felt like I had a clear idea of what I wanted out of a new guitar. I’ve decided to launch my business under the name Unified Guitar Works.
After many months of development, prototyping, and user testing, I’ve refined three designs based on classics, but still unique to Unified. All three use a top and bottom plate of aluminum, sandwiching a chambered bamboo core to create a sound that’s been described as “focused, resonant, snappy and articulate."
Reading up on forums about what people want out of their instruments has been a key part of my design process, sorted through my own set of wants and likes. if you get the chance, please head on over to http://www.unifiedguitarworks.com and let me know what you think. I’m hoping that if anyone has any questions or comments about Unified, you’ll either post here or PM me directly. I’m really excited to hear what you all think of them, and hope you’ll find something compelling in them.
Many thanks to Tom and the rest of ILF in advance,
Bill

Super cool! I'm sadly not in the market for a new guitar right now, but I'll definitely keep these in mind in the future.

The construction looks super rad. Really like all the features on the jazzy. I totally dont need to drop that kinda dough on a guitar but I sure want to.

I like the wood pick guard! Its a crowded and hard price range to break into, wish you all the best.

I'd have sex with those guitars! Wish I had both the budget and talent to justify the price tag though...
