Should I make a list for you now or wait till you land? It'll be a short journey though because my family still hasn't managed to leave New Jersey (can't leave a quarantine zone, yadda yadda yadda)

I wouldn't mind voting for that being put in the banner. Replace "Guitar. Effects. Love." with that.

Re: Somethings a-brewing in the Sonic Crayon camp
Uhhhhh update I guess. With the caveat that this is still just a hobby, that plans can change and/or take forever. Y'all are used to it.
Anti-nautilus : I have half a mind to redesign it. It's from 2012, which is ages ago (the mkii was just extra features built on the same foundation). Dilemma. What I could do now is something cooler, doesn't have nearly as much nasty click when it glitches, maybe slightly reinterpretated, dunno. Undecided.
Mechanical Sun : Needs a partial redesign. It has fundamental quirks that make it really hard to bias properly. I can keep most of the software (which was the really hard part), but I want to partially redo the hard ware this year. Sooner rather than later. Make it easier to build, more efficient. Also I think the samplerate knob is redundant since it sounds too much like the ringmod feature, so I want to keep the knob but turn it into something else. Since it's a looper delay, maybe a memory address shuffler/randomizer, so the more you crank it, the more it skips around the 'tape'. Will experiment. It's mostly in software. Also want to tweak the filter/tone control.
Truth be told, I'm considerably more excited about the delay than the nautilus. I really want to design it easier to build, so I can actually make a few. Maybe it'll make the nautilus redundant, maybe not. Have no idea. Realize that this isn't what nautilus fans like to hear. But such is the mind of a hobbyist. I haven't abandonned the idea of the antinautilus, maybe just the current (old) implementation of it.
I've been fucking around with a bitcrusher/ringmod/comb-filter/bitrman killer for a couple weeks. It has 15 knobs so far, which is probably stupid.
Just as an experiment for now. Sound goes something like this:
Input ->
-> crush bits (variable)
-> sampelrate reduce (variable)
-> pseudorandom purcussive envilope "pinging" (variable)
-> comb filter (ultra short delay) (variable)
-> ringmod (variable)
-> errors (introduce variable dsp errors & noise)
-> resonant low pass filter
Goal is to make something highly textural/droney. Turn sound into the auditory equivalent of a Pollock painting.

Woah that's a hell of an update. That Mechanical Sun delay is still in my eyes.
Hell, you can drop the AN, start the MS, fuck it do whatever I love what you make man.

Re: Somethings a-brewing in the Sonic Crayon camp
snarky post about which would show up first: the drone comp or the Sonic Crayon
I love you bae I'm sorry.
