More avant rock/jazzish shit. I need some.

Post by popvulture »

Getting into writing some more instrumental stuff and am looking for some new inspiration. I know I'm forgetting plenty of good sources, plus obv there's tons I haven't heard.

Tortoise is one of my all time faves. Maybe also Supersilent as a touchstone. Shining, CAVE, Dawn of MIDI. Gimme whatcha got. :!!!:

Mouse on the the Keys. I'll listen to Tortoise and try to think of more.

Jaga Jazzist and Mouse on the Keys are good ones.
Ill add Laddio Bolocko, the Psychic Paramount, and Oneida.

Derp, totally forgot about Oneida. I love those guys but haven't listened to em in a while—they were local mainstays back when I lived in New York. Thanks for the memory jog on that one!

Stoked to check out some of the other suggestion. Gracias ILFbros...
