It's not on prime, but I will check it out elsewhere. Thanks for the tip.

I like it. I wish there was traditional Korean drumming underneath it or a slow batucada. Or Crash Worship.

I refuse to believe anyone is cool enough not to have heard Seven Nation Army by now.
But yeah, there's definitely some Spirit/Zep overlap, to put it politely.

I've listened to (& liked) other White Stripes songs. He writes some pretty good ones actually. His covers generally suck though. This may be a notable exception:

Bought some stuff In Japan! Ran outta cash and it was my last full day... Wish I coulda bought more. Lotta cool and uncommon surf type stuff ( saw a Jackie and the Cedrics LP, Laika and the cosmonauts LP, and a Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet LP too). Also found a cool Jazz record place called Catfish but I ended up only getting the 1 Abe Kaoru CD as most stuff was quite expensive and all written in kanji so I was limited in what I could identify. The "hip" area of Fukuoka has about 5 good record shops all within a 5 minute radius. My favorite was 70's Garageland Records that is wedged up in an apartment building. The owner and his wife were super friendly and chatted with me a bit about music and local punk. I was hoping to find the teengenerate documentary that came out this past year but couldn't.

Yeah that could be rad. If you like this but wish for, uh, 'more' instrumentation there are definitely some other Coil-associated acts you should check out.

Yeah I think JW has set himself up very nicely in the sort of established rock guitar pantheon, or at least he's inspired a generation of radio-friendly acts to sound like him.
Not a huge fan of that cover, though.
