Going on tour tomorrow.

Post by Ghost Hip »

:hello: Hey guys, I have been a complete ghost/lurker on here, quietly moderating in the background. But hey, I am going on tour and I wanted to let you guys know just in case I happen to be stopping by near you.

I tried out to be the bassist of The Hat Madder, a local Michigan act that has been around for quite some time. Somehow I managed to do a good job, learn a fat batch of songs, all while scraping together a bass rig worthy for the road. I am pretty excited as a lot of these songs were beyond my ability as a bass player when I first started.

Judging by facebook I am probably just out of reach of every person on ILF. I had no part in planning the tour, unfortunately, but if you do happen to make it out to a show feel free to say hey and nerd out on gear. I will be the much younger 25 year old dude with squirrely brown hair. I will probably be posting a bunch on my instagram @ruiningphotography if you feel like creepin on me. Anywho below are the dates and some links to music and my bass rig for the hell of it.

Bandcamp: http://thehatmadder.bandcamp.com/ (I really dig Orgy Opposite and Friend of the Devil, we will be playing songs from the up and coming album too which are more proggy with rhythm changes and time signatures, and such)

Tour dates: (had to delete a few facebook event urls on the last half of the tour, let me know if you need a link)

Feck yeah. Michiganders unite. I live in Flint (Saginaw show), work in Jackson (GR/KZoo), have to run back to Buffalo (where I spent the last five years) via Toronto...oh, and I drive through Lansing errday. I'll come see all of those shows, then. And I'm from Ypsi, and trying to move back there.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Just move to GR and get it over with, man. :D :D :D

I know the guy who runs a lot of stuff at Counter Culture in Saginaw but we really don't talk anymore. He took some time off from booking shows and when he got back into it I basically wasn't in a band anymore. Nice enough guy though. If you're ever swinging through GR I'll try to make it out.

Thanks for the support guys! Here is a live video we did before we left. I am stuck in a corner standing still the whole time in the back but I like how it turned out.

I did! That show has been the most fun so far, I got riled up and and probably put more energy into that show than I ever have before. He was super supportive and had a lot of nice things to say. He has seen the band before and made a point to congratulate me. Definitely want to head back there again.
