?99? MIM P
SD Quarter Pounders
Badass II bridge
Hipshot D tuner
.65-.150 strings in BEAD (or AEAD) tuning.

Between this and the Tele I had a pretty good haul this weekend.

almost! still want to try out a semihollow beaut and maybe something with aluminium neck. next up i'm probably gonna get me a cheap fretless jazz though.
Which one?
probably a vm squier, unless i find something better & cheaper. harley benton would be more than two times cheaper, but i'm not so sure about their build quality. would prefer something used, but not too many cheapo fretless's moving around here.

Epi Rumblekat with Hipshot bridge and tuners, sounds killer in the mix with my band, love the tone

Always been curious about those. Is there much difference in sound between the two pickups?

Good to see you post again, man

I feel like the differences between the two are more in the mids than really in the bass and treble. I like blending the two best. I mostly picked it up for the shorter scale, I doubt there are many adult bassists with hands as small as mine :grumpy:

Nbd. The Matt freeman bass arrived. It's a p bass. Most of you already know what that is.
The neck is bigger than Jazz or EB0 so it's noticeable for me. I may sand it down a little to take out 1mm of girth maybe that's tmi.
It's set up with BEAD. Bellisimo.
What I like about this one is, it's ready to go without much modifying, just the strings and removing the finger rest bar.
Sounds proper. I dig it.

Have you tried rondo? They have some for cheap. I've had some luck with guitarcenter's used site too.

Here's what I'm working on:

Image

I carved the back down & took 1mm off the neck so it feels like an Ibanez neck now. Orange drop cap & cts 250k pots on the way.

That is one very attractive bass

I finally got the nut adjusted on a pbass I bought from Ancient Astronaut way back, now it's all set up for drop A with Kalium hybrid strings .159-.60. Just did some recording with it and Mountainking Heavy Machine (DI'd) sounds fucking awesome. I'll post a pic when I get home. Thinking I may replace the bridge eventually with something from Hipshot, love the one on my Epi.

Thanks.
I'm using BEAD tuning on my Precision. I can imagine A is stupendous.
