Dudes, I have never played a Farcry but this new caveman one is appealing to my sensibilities.
Anyone gonna tell me not to bother?

Nope, go play the caveman :)

There's also Wild (from a french company co-founded by Michel Ancel) that's in development now in that genre. Looks quite good too...

I've only played Blood Dragon (because cyber sharks and laser shooting dinosaurs) but I think Far Cry is cool. The open world is fun and they come up with cool missions, felt pretty easy but I suck at FPS games so I was happy. Also tempted to pick up Primal, probably once it's on steam sale or something.

Far Cry games are usually fun for a couple hours, the environments are cool but the story pales in comparison . I've never done more than a couple missions in any of those games. Splinter Cell is the only Ubisoft game that I gel with - most likely because it isn't Open-World and has some sort of direction and pacing.

Funnily enough, I've gone back to Witcher 3 again to finish my Newgame+ playthrough. I think its great :idk:

EDIT:
I think that i'm going to get rid of PS+, it's cool but I don't think that i'm getting my money's worth. Free games are cool, but I was kind of hoping for monthly big budget titles and I have everything that I want now. :idk:

I got PS+ because I need it for multiplayer games, just like most people. While I do agree that the PS+ games have been a bit lackluster recently I'm going to keep mine because [Bloodborne/Rocket League/Star Wars Battlefront/Dark Souls 3/etc.]...

I don't play much multiplayer on PS4 and the online component in MGSV is more of a pain in the ass than anything. Finding out that people stole some of your shit whenever you log in sucks.

Thanks dudes.
Totally forgot that I have a Blood Dragon a crack while it was cheap.
Probably because it was so ridiculous it didn't fit in with the rest of that genre.
Long live Michael Bein.

Best. OST. Ever.

Currently downloading The Witness. Anyone here play it? I was in the mood for something soothing after finishing Soma, and a bunch of puzzles on a beautiful island seemed appropriate.

From what I've read, soothing can quickly become infuriating (because, well, puzzles don't just solve themselves).

Haha, maybe! Two hours in and really liking it so far. It looks absolutely gorgeous! The puzzles are cool, but could be more varied. Not overly complex thus far, but some have taken a bit longer than others. Nothing frustrating yet. They all make sense I guess is what I'm trying to say. :thumb:

The Witness was so much fun. Then I got to tetrimino puzzles and haven't opened it since. Those things infuriate me so fucking much.

Started playing through Dying Light with my buddy. Think I may have made a mistake setting it to Hard.

Update: The Witness has become a little frustrating, haha! When I don't get stuff after a good 5-10 minutes I just move on in hopes of understanding it later. Time will tell

Over the past few days I've played through all of Gone Home and Firewatch. Both were absolutely phenomenal. Apparently atmospheric story driven mystery games are my thing. I need more games like that
