Yeah, but can't you just go outside if you wanna play Mad Max? :poke:

well ideally that would be the case but whilst i've got a dusty old commodore and can make it to the outback there's still the glaring issue of it apparently being seriously illegal to drive around firing harpoons at people and grinding into their cars with spiky metal rims.
this country is a JOKE.

Hah, I was mostly joking on the fact that you're probably not that old, hence just grouchy :).

And to be honest I haven't played any of the Witcher games. Yet. I really want to play Witcher 3 for many reasons, it's high there on my list of big games I really want to play but don't have time for, just like Fallout 4 for example. But it's a big time investment and I'm a bit too busy for such a big game right now...

I can understand why they might do it though, I imagine there's probably a large urge when creating a player character not to have too many strong personality traits in case it annoys people. Bland is probably safer from that perspective. Maybe he's like that in the books too.

Geralt is great. He's got a cool character in the witcher lore, without giving away any - he's actually got some great depth.

In the games, he's got the wonderful Commander Shepard campiness that I love. I'll take that over a million times over anything else that's too edgy or "quirky". Though Geralt's got some puns and dry humour to emote his Witcher personal which I dig.

Man there's so many PS3 games that i've never played and are pretty cheap now. I've never played Singularity and it's right up my alley.

Hopefully my playstation doesn't die on me, even though the 80gb version doesn't hold anything anymore.

Same here. I'm re-visiting Rage. Great looking game, I think I stopped playing it because the campaign just ends and its super short. Now I know how to play it though.

Also going back to Borderlands 2, which isn't great btw but I loved the first one though so I wanted to give it another shot.

I should go back to Rocksmith. It's not really a game to me, more like a cool practice tool but it gets me playing different things which is good for me.

I know there's more, but that's just off the top of my head.

That's exactly how I felt about Rockband. I kept getting super frustrated with their difficulty rankings though. The low difficulty ones aren't even close to playing the song. They're more like playing random notes in time with a song. Then the high difficulty ones threw in so much technical nonsense that the game generally couldn't properly distinguish. I gave up on it because I apparently can't palm mute the way they want me too.

I'm on video game hiatus until Fallout 4 DLC comes out, but I'm thinking about trying to trade in my PS3 and all my games for a PS4 and a couple games like Bloodborne or MGS5

Edit: I'm not sure if my phone autocorrected that to Rockband or if I just had a bit of a stupid moment, but I meant Rocksmith

Anyone here play Warframe?

I've recently become obsessed. Its a third-person, free-to-play, co-op shooter, in space! It has super satisfying melee and ranged combat, neat parkour movement system, tons of customization and really slick graphics that run on even my shitty hardware really well. The business model isn't really too bad as dumping your shekels into the game only speeds progression and unlocks skins and whatnot (and I usually HATE free-to-play games). I'm digging it.

I'm waiting on Fallout 4 until the DLC comes too. I really liked 3 and NV so I'm hoping this one is good too.

My friend has this on his Xbox One. It seems kinda like Destiny to me. It's ok, not really digging the environments or missions early on though.

I played this with friends for a while but like the majority of games, it just gets real boring real quick. You will only do the same thing over and over and over again. I can't stand stuff like that.

I've already put 100+ hours into the base game. I couldn't wait for the DLC. I really enjoyed it, but I kind of over did it. Randomly exploring the map doesn't feel as exciting as it did in 3 and NV, but I honestly think that's just because I put way too many hours in in such a short time. I'm excited to get back to it when the DLC comes out though.

That sounds promising, not sure how much time I'm going to put into the base building component. A lot of people on the video game sites say there isn't much of a point to it. Did you use it?

I've dabbled with it but haven't seriously built anything. Some of the controls in the base building are a little clunky. I basically just built a wall around the first settlement, threw up some defenses, and planted a bunch of food that you can combine to make into adhesive (do at least that last bit; it's hard to find enough adhesive)

I'm kind of bummed that Fallout isn't my thing, I enjoyed the brief time I played them all - including 4 but I don't really have the desire to go back. I probably need to push a little further but eh.

I do kind of want to replay MGS from the ground up. It just sucks that you can't rewatch certain cutscenes that are the most interesting part of the game.
