Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
I don't really get what you mean, I usually really like the Pedals&Effects videos. They do know their stuff pretty well and actually make music with the gear they have. Obviously, they're focused on getting sounds they can manipulate with their instruments, which is why they're not into the cacophony they got at the end, but they're far from close-minded compared to 99% of people who make guitar/bass gear demos I guess...

Their shtick is pretty good at first, but it hasn't changed one bit in all these years (same reactions, same room, same hats, always playing the hired hand blues), and I suppose that's part of their charm. They felt like an antidote in the past (a faraway place that was thin on information & availability in every sense of the word), and still can be, but these days, anyone recording demos on their phone will already have a higher success rate for brevity, let alone weirdness, which is why I even have an Instagram account. Because, really, when it comes down to itoscillateur wrote:I don't really get what you mean, I usually really like the Pedals&Effects videos. Welp, after years of playing without a mutli-fx unit, I bit the bullet and ordered a Zoom MS50G.
I needed a small swiss-army tool that could stack effects and at 60 bucks I figure I can flip it without much (if any) loss. Do any of you have any favorite settings/tips?

Everything makes sense when you look at it from another way.

I use mine for a tonne of stuff. Tremolos, reverbs, delays, theres a vibrato that comes in a set amount of time after it detects your note attack which is wicked.PlasticPeople wrote:Welp, after years of playing without a mutli-fx unit, I bit the bullet and ordered a Zoom MS50G.

Never use any of the dirt/amp sims etc... they all sound rubbish to me. The pitch/synth/filter/bitcrusher/ringmod etc stuff is all totally usable. My only (small) gripe with the pedal is that everything comes out with this particular sort of thin tone to it no matter which virtual pedals you've used. However i love the thing and can't see myself getting rid at any point.

I've just continued watching 'em because they provide entertainment value unconnected to the actual effects pedal sounds contained therein.coupleonapkins wrote:I've been passing on clicking their videos lately, especially after the Würst debacle video, too manyChankgeez wrote:Yeah, it's in thethread more for their attitude than anything else.

Does anyone know of a noise gate similar to the one in the Box of Metal? It's a super rad pedal and that crackly fade away is super useful but I kinda want to get that out of my hm2

I'm gonna design a pedalboard called "Pedal Backboard"
It will be designed to be worn on yo' back.
If you wanna change any of yo' settings, you just reach over yo' shoulder or behind yo' back.
Comes w/ free pound o' back bacon (or vegan back bacon).

here's a short clip i just made with the detektor while sitting at the computer. held it next to my iphone and uploaded ILF a couple times, then moved my wireless mouse around, then just sorta moved it around in front of me.
