At $400ish new, they'll probably bottom out around that point in a few years.

$169, sounds stupid good, keybed ain't perfect but it's not 25 keys either, and it sits right by the desk for when I don't want to use the big workstation.
That's a really good deal, but I'm talking like 'fits in yr backpack' tiny. The reface is 30cm shorter, 7cm less deep and 3cm narrower than that keytar and weighs half as much, so they don't occupy the same market for most.
I live out of a suitcase pretty much so thats hella difference to me. It's smaller/lighter than a microkorg.

Yea, if I was living out of that tiny I'd realistically just use a laptop for music stuff and endure it.

basically, yeah. I was gonna get a CME xkey 37 and use my laptop as a synth but the midi keyboard itself is a good chunk of the price of a reface or similar, so.
:idk:
broke anyway so it doesn't matter

You can with the Reface capture app and external equipment.

I got a YC on Black Friday, and it really is a awesome portable organ. Like oscilatteur said, there's not really another competitor in this price/size category that can do what it (or the CP) can. I get why some people are vehemently anti-minikeys, but I would say the keys on the Refaces feel better than most.
