For the record, I would only mind if the ubercarpet shipped like two weeks after my carpet. Like someone already said, releasing deluxe versions down the line is just cool.

Btw I always tell everyone it's a month wait at least for our post but the last pedals got to the USA in some 16-17 days. Very quickly to my taste. Well, somehow things ship from USA to Russia quicker, though I use our kind of Priority Shipping. Btw I may add the costly and not so reliable EMS to the shipping options list if someone wants to try it No much faith in them though

I'm very excited for my Tape+ and Moomindrone+, and was more than a little bummed to miss out on the Carpet, so an UberCarpet down the line sounds wonderful.

There will be more carpets in 4-8 weeks, I'll try and make at least 10 this time as this pedal seems to interest people a lot. The preorder game has already begun on ezhiandaka.ru

I completely agree and expect a builder or company or whatever to update their stuff periodically. Phones come to mind with a new version released each year. I have no problem with that, and actually we as a culture have been conditioned to expect that.

It is just when I woke up this morning I saw an email that my carpet shipped, then I went on Instagram and saw a blurb about how he got chips for the next batch of carpets and uber carpets, and I was all like WTF? I certainly would have waited a bit longer for a super duper version. To be fair, he didn't say when the ubers were coming out, but the blurb made it sound like it was imminent.

OTOH, early adopters of new technology always get screwed, so that is my fault as well.

I don't think it is a great business model to release new versions so soon (if it is in fact coming out soon). Firstly, it will surely piss people off (I recall a similar reaction to the recent release of the Chase Bliss Wombtone 2). Secondly, I don't think it is the best way for the builder/company to ensure a steady stream of income. I think it is much better for the builder to slowly introduce (maybe yearly or so) enhanced versions of their products. Companies know this, and that is how they keep us coming back and buying a new damn iphone each year (please note I am an android user). They don't pack their product with everything they are capable of. If they did, we would buy it once and be done with them. Releasing new features every year or so with a new version ensures repeat business.

Custom work at the request of somebody is a completely different story of course.

Thank you very much for your advice. Sorry again an innocent tease caused you distress. I will start working on the ueber version soon but don't really expect it anytime soon. But there is a thing - I really want to not screw you as the early adopters at all. On the contrary, you are and will be my best and dearest customers. Please remember this and throw it in my face if I ever get arrogant.

i think most of the "uber" and "addons" come from people asking him questions and talking to him. after i purchased my moomindrone he added some features that were rad but, I am still super stoked on my current pedal.

when i was originally purchasing my pedal i told him how i was going to sell a delay to furnish it. So, he got the idea to add a little delay circuit in there and it really takes the pedal over the top for me. I think he gets alot of his ideas for uber/addons from being so receptive to his customer's wants and trying to accomodate others.

Ok, some productivity news.
Alongside the bulk order from the dealer I am also working on Fernweh and already have Mr. Glitchy - the first delay module for Fernweh. Need demos or don't want to be teased?
