Jwar's too nice.
Step 1: Register Satellite Effects LLC
Step 2: Register Satellite Amplifiers LLC
Step 3: Send them a cease and desist.
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit
In this case, you can actually profit by offering to sell them the Satellite Amps name.
Cuz fuck em.

Ever since I saw this thread I've had the goddamn Dave Matthews Band stuck in my head.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

I really hate these assholes from the P&W world, man.
First, we had JHS, now these fuckers.
Every time I interact with P&W bros it's, "I'm gonna fuck up your reputation and sue you because Jesus."
Since I always forget:
SPOILER : show

I don't see anything that has to do with P&W on their site? but I haven't looked especially hard.

At least, all the P&W guys seem to own Satellites.

Maybe they like to gargle balls, I understand that's a solid way to pave an in with the P&W sect. I watched the first part of a video in which one of the founders indicated he identified as Buddhist, which somewhat runs counter indicative.jrfox92 wrote:They've been involved with P&W guys.D.o.S. wrote:I don't see anything that has to do with P&W on their site? but I haven't looked especially hard.

Same video also indicates they've been at this since 2005, so securing their name (if possible) and selling it back to them would be a monumental burn. Of course, that's investing time and money to rub elbows and get greasy with a firm that came out as a dick, and life's usually too short for that sort of shit.

Even if they didn't register the name, and you registered it today, they can still contest it providing they can prove first use.
Satellite is a boring name imo so I feel like you should change it to something cooler and then declare a blood feud against them.

Looks like the owner's name is Adam Grimm? Change your company to something like "Adam Grimm Cuckold Creampie Effects"
"Not Satellite Any More Are You Fucking Happy Adam Grimm You Fucking Twat Effects"
I'll design that logo if you want.
(this is totally a joke and meant in good fun)

fender did at least
it's a weird little stereo speaker setup for the acoustic line
It may be easier just to name your company something that doesn't have any amp ties to it
Like Orange Effects
or Marshall Effects

I just changed it and will think of a better name. It is just a fun hobby so dealing with bullshit isn't worth it. I was really just curious about trademarking such a common word.friendship wrote: Satellite is a boring name imo so I feel like you should change it to something cooler and then declare a blood feud against them.
Satellite had meaning. I only do the design work and enclosure fab. The guy that does the electronics is in another state. We operate out of "satellite workshops" which is where the name came from.

If that's the case change it to Subcontractor Effects
