Spaceman Orion: Dripping Astronauts

Post by skullservant »

I am an incredible fan of reverb. I have been since my wife got me my first reverb pedal years ago while we were still dating.
There is nothing like it. It's a moody effect. It creates atmosphere, intensity, wonder, depth.

In walks the Spaceman Orion Reverb. My mind is completely blown. I just got a tube reverb unit about a month or so ago and this is every bit as magical.

Drippy, surfy, bright, dark. The Dwell control takes you to an entirely different dimension. The tone control is incredibly responsive and actually useful. The mix can get you damn near 100% wet. The volume control has enough boost on tap to drive the clean channel of my amp. Build quality is top notch. The pedal has weight to it and the knobs have that certain trusty stiffness to them.

Wow. This might be the reverb to actually make me like reverb. I should pick one up.

Love mine. I got it kind of only as a novelty item since I did not think I'd get much use out of it, but it has turned out to be really cool.

Sounds good! Actually impressed, sort of didn't pay attention to the Orion when it came out. Nice guitar too. :!!!:

Someone please send this to Billy every day until all his pent-up rage erupts, his head turns to actual chrome and he engages his final form: Ultimo-Corgon, where he finally starts to hate fuck every skyscraper in Japan demanding an explanation, weeping tears of mercury down on the innocent bystanders below while proclaiming to be the greatest musician of all time, including the future.

Great little write up. Great sounds. Definitely put this pedal on my radar. But more than all that... That is so many cables making a big spaghetti mess!

Love mine. I think the Orion and the Voyager are some of Spaceman's best work. They both sound sooo good. Super musical. End up being always on for me.

Melted, somewhere near the soldering station.
