Very well then. I stand by the statement that I may be an idiot. I forget they make an internal version. Also, need clips.

Working on a second piece, first is linked previously (can't embed anymore since Soundcloud borked the old player and this bulletin board software hasn't updated to the HTML5 version if it ever will)

Is that recording multi tracked or can you use that many layers in real time? I've been really curious about these for a while but they've always seemed iffy on tracking and monophonic?

Multi (but not much), it's two tracks total. That's one track (just upright bass) and a second of mag PU/vGuitar fake Rickenbacker bass layered with a pseudo-Roland Juno patch. Can do full on chords no questions asked, I have many times.

Just in the box it's 2 discrete PCM synths (adjustable as hell), can assign them to specific string(s), etc. Magnetic PUs (regular guitar/bass) in. vGuitar (guitar modeling, various acoustic guitars/synths/electric guitars and basses) as well, vGuitar can be tuned +/- 24 steps (2 oct) for virtual insane tunings. So four instruments at a time. The easy way to think of it: two discrete synths, half of a Roland VG99 (instrument modelling), and regular pickups.

Full effects engine (two chains, can combine). Can route dry guitar out (or vGuitar) out of the guitar out, stereo out for the rest.

If I had to keep one effects unit only, this would be it.

Hmmm... Good to know, that would be rad to have hanging around then. I'm more comfortable on guitar than keys for big synth pads.

Can always MIDI out to a module etc if you really want to go for broke. I had it running with multiple fake Mellotrons one day on the DAW just to see what it sounded like.

All I has is this thusfar, two VI synth tracks (Upright + string section /mag PU)to test tracking and to screw around.
