Re: Count To Five
Paul, what power supply do you use? the led should be silent but im curious to know when it could be an issue.
I don't know that we will add a reverb to this pedal but who knows
To get the LPF in mode 1, go to mode 1, hold down the soft switch and move DIR 1 knob. CCW is max filtering, think of the knob as controlling the cut off frequency. You can play while the soft switch is down to hear how it will sound. To set the filter just release the soft switch. The DIR 1 setting you had when you pressed the soft switch will be held while you adjust the filter and after you release the soft switch it will still be held to its original setting, even if where you left it to set the filter does not agree. If you move teh DIR 1 knob after setting the filter again it will affect the DIR setting as usual. IE it wont change the speed while you are setting the filter, which makes it easier to tune.
i tried to improve teh pedal a bit every run. the only exception will be the next run since we already started building parts of it, it will stay rev k.

Ah! I forgot about this LPF feature on Mode 1! I'll have to experiment with this today.multi_s wrote:Paul, what power supply do you use? the led should be silent but im curious to know when it could be an issue.

So awesome!
While I was twisting knobs yesterday I ran across a super short delay that was "reverb-like".
Sort of like that back-slap type of gregarious delay that the Billy-Rockas love so very very.

Re: Count To Five
Is the LPF something new to this current version that will be included in the firmware update?

yeah, this mode sounds super lush, right? i just wonder which quantization mode it isSeance wrote: While I was twisting knobs yesterday I ran across a super short delay that was "reverb-like".

i use a Gigrig generator with a distributor and some isolator units, it should be alright. i'll try something different tomorrow to exclude its influence. i just noticed a very quiet clicking in a "bedroom"-setting in which i can hear a mouse cough.multi_s wrote:Paul, what power supply do you use? the led should be silent but im curious to know when it could be an issue.

Re: Count To Five
Question on the constant-glitch version of mode 2. Is there any way to turn and keep this on without holding the soft switch? I only ask because I play keys and thus sometimes can't spare a hand/foot, but i think this has some very interesting possibilities. It seems like you would get a similar result to running it in mode 1 but with randomizing the start/length of the buffer playback? Just throwing it out there, but perhaps that could be a secondary function of the feedback knob? i.e., in mode 1 hold down soft switch and turn feedback, goes from full buffer playback to increasingly shorter/more random playback? Or maybe i'm misunderstanding and that would not be the same thing as you're describing in mode 2.
Anyway, hate to even bring it up since you've done so much already.

ya that's a good point. Once i get enough accumulated feedback we will make more updates etc. For now it is how it is unfortunately.zoooombiex wrote:Question on the constant-glitch version of mode 2. Re: Count To Five
ok dokey v man.vidret wrote:(continous buffer time in mode 1!)
is this hard to implement as in coding, or is it just hard because you'd have to make a 270 degree turn go from a couple of milliseconds to 8 seconds and therefore it gets weird to handle?
first i would say you will probably be content enough with transcendence in mode 1 since the buffer doesn't wipe in between len b changes when it is on. This is almost what would happen/better than what would happen if you could have continuous space change in terms of what you hear anyways.
for the real deal i don;t want to say it's so hard, or to bitch out on it (its certainly not "too hard"), but this is more or less why i didn't do it on this revision, the algorithm needs some fundamental change or a giant diaper of code to smooth it out which i have not found a great solution for yet. both equally possible. without writing a more in depth technical discussion of the algorithm i can see maybe it doesn't make sense why it is difficult to implement, but that will have to suffice for now.

Re: Count To Five
ya if that is your actual desire it would make more sense just to add a normal delay easter egg mode or something like that in the next firm wink wink.vidret wrote:Cool, appreciate the explanation.
Why I was wondering I'm the first place is it could pretty much straight up double as a regular delay if I could set the buffer anywhere (like regular delay time) and the playback at 1:1, that would allow me to bump something else off or bring the ct5 along as a looper/pitcher/glitch AND a delay.
If it's not happening it's not happening, it's certainly not why I bought it so I'm cool with that.
ok see ya.

Re: Count To Five
hey, Scott, i tested it with a boss 9v power supply and the gigrig generator. just guitar - Ct5 - amp. in mode 2 and 3 the flashing light makes a little clicking noise.multi_s wrote:Paul, what power supply do you use? the led should be silent but im curious to know when it could be an issue.
strange thing: when i turn the guitar (!) volume down, there's no clicking. what's that? tested it with 2 guitars. it's no big problem. just to let you know.

ok tbh it sounds like something might be a bit whacky so it is up to you. if later you want to send it back to get checked on just let me know.PaulB wrote:hey, Scott, i tested it with a boss 9v power supply and the gigrig generator. just guitar - Ct5 - amp. in mode 2 and 3 the flashing light makes a little clicking noise.multi_s wrote:Paul, what power supply do you use? the led should be silent but im curious to know when it could be an issue.
