Infanem Second Voice

Post by casecandy »

I hear a lot about this pedal and might be looking at one in a potential trade.

Is it awesome? Who is its daddy, and what does he do? Used value?

Also, most demos are synth demos; is it cool on the geetar, as well?

I Googled, but to little avail. ("You are literally incapable of doing your own legwork." — D.o.S.)

It's glorious but based on the sound you're going for you may want a polyphonic pitch shifter.

Pitchfork dog wants to remind you that incorrect use of punctuation create monstrosities, like himself.

General consensus is wrong.
I couldn't get it to track properly (the range worked over a narrow range, and I had to adjust it to get better tracking depending on where I played on the neck) and the power was both noisy and finicky.

For pure octaves nothing beats the copilot mantis.

Yeah, I prefer the Mantis and the Pollyanna too, though the very first version of the Second Voice does sound gnarly in a specific setting.
The V2 is alright, all the other ones such as the Deluxe Second Voice are poop, the bad kind.
good deals with: the_brow, phantasmagorovich, alexsga, DarkAxel, goroth, The Wood Wizard, Tendollarcat, vbps, monkeydancer, intothegroove, Brobee

I'm not a big fan of INFANEM. :idk:
Like Tristan said... The Pollyanna seems way more fun (but I never tried one).

I had a period where I was trying to convince myself that I really needed a SV deluxe. I really wanted to want it. But I could never find a demo where it didn't sound kind of shitty. And after a while I had to be honest with myself about that :(
