Re: Another INFANEM dirt sale
Ordered a driving notion on 12/1/15. Emailed to ask about the timeframe on 1/20/16. Still no response.
I assume she is just busy with orders from the ongoing dirt sale? Any one have similar a experience?

when I bought a small echo array for d'arcy's xmas gift, it took over a month with no response before I emailed her and she shipped it out the following week, so yeah, nothing new.

Maybe I'll try Facebook. I hate to be a pest but 12/1 was a long time ago

Speaking of INFANEM. How is the driving notion? Haven't really paid attention to it before. Are the low gain toans nice? I am kinda in the market for a new, more fuzzy overdrive

I just saw that they're still 99 USD so I figure that's pretty worth giving a shot. Listening to DDs demo now, it sounds very different in a cool way. I think I'd like this one. To pair with my suneater

Re: Another INFANEM dirt sale
They sound great, but they are kinda picky on the setup. My chain adds a some low end between an EP Booster at unity gain and a DBA Kill Kill Filter, and the Driving Notion has a MASSIVE amount of low. Like, I would put the Low knob almost to 0 and my amp would just send out unholy sub harmonics that would dominate the sound. Other's have mentioned the same thing,
When I took the other stuff out of the chain, the Driving Notion sounded great though. So, a cool sounding pedal, just needed too many changes to my setup to get it to play nice.

My experience with Infanem (I forget the new name, my b) was that I ordered it and just chilled and it showed up fairly promptly, no communication needed.ritz wrote:Ordered a driving notion on 12/1/15. Emailed to ask about the timeframe on 1/20/16. Still no response.

I assume the dirt sale and the recent holidays have been pretty heavy. Maybe wait until Monday to try again?

Still really interested in a STEP, just wish I could try one. One of these days, this very long sale will end and I'll feel like an arse.

Yeah, the few people who have the step I've talked to all rave about it. I still feel like I need to hear a better demo of it. I'll likely feel like an arse too.

Weird, my Driving Notion is almost all highs and not a lot of lows at all. Like an insane amount of highs, I usually dial the treble gain at noon, lows up to 1 or 2 o'clock and the balance at 11 o'clock.
I love it, its like a tube screamer on crack or something.

Yeah, it had an insane amount of booth, but I had an easier time with the highs. Definitely a fun pedal, just not for me.

Love the driving notion. The low gain sounds are my favourite sounds. Do you really not get heavy low end out of it repoman? I have other dirt pedals that don't lose low end, but none that create lows like the DN.

Yeah, mine is very very treble heavy. If I really crank everything on the bass side it is more fuzzy/sputtery/sounds like a speaker ripping but its never over powering. The treble part seems more gritty/normalish OD and the bass is more fuzzy I guess? I've just played it through 15-40w combos though.
