You guys need to do this and record the results
The OP-1 is definitely on my list of things to get one day. So much gas, but I really don't know how I'd get along with one and they're so expensive. I need to find someone near me to show me around one sometime.

One of my friends is a harsh noise musician, and he has a table top setup.

I believe it is mixer > pedal chain > audio interface?

As for pedals, I'm not sure what his entire setup is, or in what order they are chained, but I know he has a Devi Ever Soda Meiser, Bit Legend of Fuzz, Truly Beautiful Disaster, Zvex Fuzz Factory, and one of the Mr. Wire Fox Calculators (he is actually the guy that turned me on to the WC/FC).

Outside of fuzz, I think he uses a Fairfield Electronics Ring Mod, some Boss Delay, and an EHX Holy Grail.

He's turned me on to some cool pedals.

I think he might be registered here, I should link him to this thread.

I put pedals into the aux loop, and usually i build loops in the pedal chain using dual input/output peds.
I'm fond of the SMMH for sharp tones and weird oscillations, plus the sweet looping capacity with modulation pedals.
My rig varies every time but I am HUGELY interested in this thread and techniques on how to improve my harsh noise "form"

so far the best rule ive found is Rule #1: If it can be plugged into itself, plug it into itself

Pretty basic rig for a mostly sample based performance. Also using Ableton's looper to catch the Maximal drone and pitch it, reverse it etc. Really works well if there are also short Ct5 loops going on, getting some actual transients to reverse and whatnot.

I don't have any recent sounds, I literally just bought patch cables long enough for the Patchulator yesterday, and am expecting a few changes this weekend/next week, but I'll try to record something to share soon.

I recently expanded my desktop setup to use two Patchulators, which is almost making a rackmount patchbay viable again, but patching on the desktop is way more convenient. Most of the gear is directly adjacent to the two patchbays, so using short right-angle cables is all I need. That alone makes slight changes to the setup quick, as opposed to reaching behind a rack.

I'll get some pics and sounds up for you guys asap. Not so much "experimental gear" but with all the mod sources and destinations, it might as well be!
