sunn 190L What's it worth???

Anybody know what a sunn 190L tube head with a sunn 1x15 would be worth? A friend of mine is borrowing one to me and he wants to sell it but doesn't know what to sell it for.

Ooohh... Sunns are super ... I think the 190L is pretty much the same as the Sceptre- which I've seen go for about $400-$500 just for the head.

I think the amp may need a once over from a good amp tech, and the speaker may need to be replaced in the cab. I can't get any of the famous sunn low end out of this amp. I a/b'd it with my fender super reverb and the sunn lacked low end no matter how I eq'd it.

i own a bunch of sunn amps and i really thing the whole "low end" and reputation as an amp for drone is undeserved. they can get really fucking loud, but to my ear they sound a helluva a lot like fenders. really, really, loud fenders...... and the later models seem to be louder than the earlier models. my 1200s is fucking retarded loud but my 200s is basically just pretty loud.
also, are you playing bass or guitar? the 190L is a guitar amp.

100s- sounds like a clean but badass, tube amp. takes distrotion pedals like a champ
model T- will fucking shake your house off the foundations and send you back in time to become your own grandpa

Thanks for the info! I play guitar and currently run a fender super reverb as my amp but I would like to get into sunn amps and it is good to hear they take pedals well because I use a lot of them..
