Re: Let's See Your Favourite Chords!
This jazzy seventh chord (with a 6th and 9th on top... I don't totally know how to name chords properly), e.g. in A:
E- 5th fret
A- 7th fret
D- 5th fret
G- 6th fret
B- 7th fret
E- 7th fret
My favourite shape for lots of things, it's C maj 6 with a major 7th on top (sounds great in E minor, moving the same shape around):
E- 8th fret
A- 7th fret
D- 7th fret
G- 9th fret
B- 10th fret
E- 7th fret
Some kind of spooky diminished minor seventh + 4 chord or something, let's say in E (standard tuning):
E- 12th fret
A- 13th fret
D- 14th fret
G- 14th fret
B- 15th fret
E- 15th fret
E- 5th fret
A- 7th fret
D- 5th fret
G- 6th fret
B- 7th fret
E- 7th fret

D - 12

There's a Villa-Lobos piece where the shape in the middle four strings moves down one fret at a time while keeping the top and bottom Es ringing out. Very cool.

Re: Let's See Your Favourite Chords!
Sorry, but...
Where's the ninth in that one? C#, G# and B -> 1, 5, 7. So basically it's a dominant 7th chord without the third, so depending on what's been played over it, it could be any kind of dominant chord. It could be a 9th chord if you play a D# over it.
That's a G# minor 7th. G#, B, F# -> 1, b3, 7. It can't be a sus chord 'cause it has a third.
I love add9 chords. So does The Police, apparently.
