Oh for the record my real answer is Singing Tree and Bacon Boost and those are 1 and 2 in the chain.

I have a Henretta Emerald Prince that's not really OD but adds a little grain, and like a true dingus, I put it after my other dirt, before my delay.
It sounds pretty mad at the start of the chain though.

Hardwire CM2 at front for both bass rigs. Monarch at the end w/ the Peavey / 2x15 chain. The CM2 for midrange bump and tiny bit of eq overall, not much boost. Monarch set high gain, some bass boost. It boosts a lot without diming the volume, which the solid state Peavey doesn't need anyway. CM2 into Megalith for the other rig makes the megalith much tighter sounding, more Meathead-like.

Real early. Trying to narrow it down. KoT, Clontarf Lapith and Sparkle Motion all vying for slots number 1 and 2

I put my OCD right after my volume pedal.
There used to be a Warden before both of those but I didn't really "get" compression so I sold it.
So basically, it's the first actual effect in my signal chain.
Followed by a ton of fuzzes and then other stuff.
As time goes on I have less and less "other stuff."

I also plug my od straight into my ballsack. That seems to get it rumbling pretty good.
I always use OD at the front and one at the back. Always. I have the Heisenburg at the front and B7K at the back. Perfect. Try an OD at the end of your chain sometime. It's fucking killer.

My Fuck is always on at the end of my chain set for a tiny bit of treble boost. It makes everything sound better+end of chain crackle is tight.

My Basic Audio Futureman is right after the polytune as a light/medium OD, though not always on. At the end of the chain is the Skychord Truck Loud, always on as a slight boost, sometimes used as a heavy OD.

Re: Where do you cram your "always on" OD?
Thanks for responding everyone. Doesn't seem like there is a real preference... seems about 50/50 for in front or at the end.
I have a The Elements that I just get a nice bassy (for guitar) overdrive with, and it seems to me like it works best at the front. Then I DO have an excellent overdrive (probably the best I've heard) in my Fender Blues Deluxe. So that probably solves it right there... Elements at the front and amp OD at the end.
