there wasn't a thread for this yet
who has one?
what do you think?
can it get into double beat and/or fy2/6 territory(minus the octave)?
I know he says it's trashy 60's to heavy sludge, but ...
this is the only demo I can find from the og prototype

always come back to this one in my mind as a fuzz that could do a lot with his new options.
I've got the Acid Age version (similar to the demo - no switches or 5th knob).... Good variety of sounds. I'm always torn between having the Pale Mare or the Super Collider on my board (seldom have a use for both at the same time). Does some pretty rad ringmod-ish things when you hit certain chords. Sorry I don't have a double beat or fy2 to compare.
To be honest, I'm not the best person to ask (I play totally non-standard amps/instruments). The best way I can describe the difference between the two would be SC being more "heavy" and Pale Mare being more "Resonant". Keep in mind, I have the '71 version of the Super Collider.
I only have one spot on my board for a "normal" fuzz - so I never have both on my board at the same time. Lately, I've been favoring the Pale Mare.
I've got an Acid Age version too. It can get really thin/60s velcro and then super thick, eternal sustain with the voice switch. I can send you a clip of it if you want (it's a song still half-finished so I wouldn't want to put it up publicly).
that's kind of what I want to know
you can switch between the two and the 60's velcro is sticky and hairy
I wish he did more clips
and a double beat
I tried to get him to build an orpheum but he didn't like it
smeary I like for psych
Do you want to borrow mine? It's not on my board at the moment, so if you wanted to I could send it your way for the cost of shipping and you could play around with it for a couple days.

dude. I appreciate it.
but have some more testing to do and get some of this in order first.
but I may take you up on it if mark doesn't get back to me first.

you are correct. with some fancy dancy mods care of mark.
kinda worried that it might be too normal of a fuzz for right now
but also might be my main fuzz
only played mine 3-4 times now, but its a sludge monster. that bee baa style gain structure is just nasty. might just the type of circuit, but the gain is pretty much full up all the time. no low gain muff tones here, and doesnt clean up with the guitar volume much either. i run the gain pretty much full up because seems like more high end definition comes in at that point. the tone options are awesome. the 3-way tone switch is very usable and interactive with the main tone knob and gain. the gate switch enables that bias knob in the middle for sick, sputtery decay or bypass it for endless sustain. the filter knob/2nd footswitch might be the best tho. i dunno where the buzzy 60's tones are to be found, turning the knob to the left sounds more like 90's mid-scooped sludge like bloodlet or something. but turning more to the right, you can kinda match it up more to the base tone and get a big mid-heavy and crunchy boost. plus the build quality is really top notch. early for me still but im really digging it so far. definitely fills the slot i was aiming to fill.
I agree with guillotine420's synopsis of this pedal. Higher gate and honkier filter settings may allow one to approach the verge of neo-psych territory, but the gain structure is 100% doom. I have a green one that I scored used (SN 003).
