The waza looked real nice in person, but not 2500 nice haha. They didn't have anyone playing it though. And it was roped off with velvet.

I think korg is going to push real hard with their nutube chips and solid state poweramps under the vox name soon. They will probably just end up goofy modeling amps though (which is what they looked like to me). But, I guess, there is hope there.

There were a few solid state companies around NAMM, but nothing really to catch my attention... The traynors looked nice, but didn't get a chance to really look at them. They were really pushing some modeling preamp it looked like to me.

Matter of fact, everyone was kinda impressed and complimenting lightning wave Lee on the sunn beta lead he borrowed from me haha...serious opportunity.

I'm sure it'll sound decent and then some..but $2500 decent?

For just the head...I'm honestly wondering what waza they're smoking.

I keep thinking that putting a solid state power amp in an enclosure will be the way to go. Run it in stereo for guitar and biamp it for bass. Just run it into guitar and bass cabs instead of PA speakers and use preamp pedals on your board. All your stereo pedals will come out in good sounding, spaced out stereo instead of from mismatched amps or from a single cabinet. The first company to make a cool looking, cheap power amp could possibly start something very cool.
