What should I do?
Last year I finished this guitar in lime green and made a couple dumb mistakes that rendered the final result really terrible looking.
A few months ago I finalized my decision to rework how I offer guitars and decided to strip everything down to a "base model" with a satin finish and then to have options to upgrade from there.
I thought "ya know, it would be less work to just strip the finish off that green one and redo it than to make a new guitar for this"
SO that is where we're at. I've stripped the old finish and am going to redo this in my eggshell satin finish.
But, and here's where you come in, what color?!
I'm thinking my standard colors will be red, seafoam, and tan, BUT I was also thinking this would be kinda cool in a sort of "tuxedo" finish where the guitar is white but pickguard, pickups, etc are black.
What do you think??

Obviously, I'm required to answer "purple".
I like your idea for the "tuxedo" though. I think I'd do a "black & tan" tuxedo maybe.

Re: What should I do?
last night I sprayed a special order provocateur in satin lavender and have some left so I COULD do this one in lavender but it would have to be for someone. I love lavender but am shying away from doing anymore guitars in weird colors if they aren't already spoken for.

Interesting.....tan instead of white with black parts. That could be cool too!

I'm obsessed with matte white finishes right now.

Well the current price of a grifter is listed at something like $1,575 or there about.
With the eggshell satin finish the price tag will be $1,150.

I like this plan. Simple. Graphic. Timeless. Or you could murder it out, and do a mix of gloss and matte blacks...get one of those new mastery bridges all blacked out...

Tuxedo is also rad.
Also if you still have that lefty gathering dust in a year or so Bobby I might have to talk business with you. #brokeuntil2017

Gosh I hope I don't have that lefty still hanging around by next year! :-S
The finish I'm using for these satin guitars wouldn't really work to mix gloss and matte but in regular lacquer it would work.

Nah. Just saying matte body gloss guard, etc...mix and match finishes through hardware, but the whole thing is black.
