I recently stumbled on the Japanese alt rock scene and I was wondering if you guys know any other cool Japanese bands.

I may know a thing or two on the subject.

Moonwalk was the best Japanese indie/power-pop band period. This is the only song on youtube from their two full lengths.

There's lots of great psych from the 60s/70s. Julian Cope's Japrocksampler book is an awesome resource for digging for that sort of thing. Flower Travellin' Band and Flied Egg are both awesome.

Cope kinda snobs out on Happy End (Haruomi Hosono's first band), but they're one of my faves. Pretty sure I've posted it on here before, but IMO can't be posted enough.
