The guitardammerung is already able to be ordered...said they have like 24 left. Then there will be a wait until some time in Feb until the next 100 are out.

The moog stuff looked really nice as did the Dave Smith. The Mother 32 with this new moog modular stuff kinda is a mismatch...maybe they are going to kinda do a minifooger/moogerfooger thing with the line? Like the full fledged modules will be 500, and the less robust ones will be euro? Or maybe they will make plates to adapt euro to 500? I know they have had the delay and filter out for a while, but I think I saw an LFO, dual oscillator, and VCA modules in the quick peak I got (tried to get in twice). The moog booth is an island of mystery (complete with fake vegetation and steam!).

Couldn't find Catalainbread yet...

Anything anyone want me to look for in the modular world? It is all kinda hard to sort out because it is like bricks or patch cables and modules (and a ton of 'em are bunched together...). Suggestions on companies, modules, etc to look out for tomorrow?

Large Chinese manufacturing presence too. They were all over and their pedals were in several booths (all the same with different names on them). Joyo is making a mini tube preamp now with ss power....I dunno...

Weird Bass companies I had never seen before like Paul Bass. They had some weird 12x4" tiny bass amp with the controls on top wrapped in vinyl...like out of the console of a really sleezy space ship.

Lots of preamps....free the tone pedals are smaller than I thought and I think have some kind of Chinese connection (or they shared a booth with somebody like donner or something???)

10. I don't know if some companies are as big as the think they are or are bigger than I know (like Big Joe)...but they had large booths.
NIce report, LG, not long winded at all.

I was a little upset when those Big Joe pedals first came out because they'd appropriated the image of Big Joe Williams. I e-mailed the dude to ask him where Big Joe's cut of the money was going and he never gave me a straight answer. So, fuck Big Joe pedal company. :idk:

I wanted to be all over that Avalanche Run preorder but I don't think $295 is where I want to be with it. Dang. I think $225 is way more palatable. I realize it's feature laden. It just lands outside my price range right now.

E might be better...you know, to get the good vibes of bass solos and that 14 year old kid banging on the drums....it was surprisingly less crazy than I thought.

I dunno...maybe I am too jaded to wait in line and try everything...haha. Was kinda like "Yup, that is a guitar" "Oh, yea, that is an amp"...Kinda got the lay of the land though and will get some hands on in tomorrow...I guess I just am not looking for a plastic tuba, a saxophone, or a 4000$ guitar at the moment (or a maestro wand). I'm also kind of not the target audience...a lot of this is people kind of looking for retailers/distros/manufacturing stuff...not some dude that wishes he had a ring mod with a carrier oscillator that comes from an FM synth or something with env control over the CO.

Also gotta check out if Yamaha is bringing the SGV back (or try to convince them it is a great idea).

Lehle stuff looks amazing in person too. Like real quality.

Thanks resin! Will do a better job tomorrow. Sorry for the lack of "up-to-the-minute" updates...no signal in there....and I will find somebody with a new ring mod (I hope)!

You know....something never sat right with me about that company...and I also kinda wondered that when I first heard about them (never cared to ask or even look at them,,,just ran across the name a few times). Yea, fuck 'em. Who is buying there stuff to justify a keeley sized booth though. It struck me as weird (never seen one and they aren't well distro'd???).

Anyway, Thanks Chankgeez!

Oh, one more thing...those glitter guitars are kinda neat looking...but would never play one....but as a second neck strapped to another guitar? If I had a billion dollars maybe. They would make me look fat though haha

Not to keep building up lightning wave, but for a system that digitally controls an analog system, it sounded remarkably smooth and natural. Like they three mod pedals never sounded awkward...like no matter what random sequence he put in...was pretty awesome.

Saw Chasebliss (and knobs was walking around there too). Knobs said Knobs on his tag and shirt. Pretty sure it was him.

I think I head the new Chasebliss delay as I walked by (stopped for a second). Sounded more on the high end eq side and the modulation was very chorusy...sounded nice, but didn't really stop...sounded good though. Lightning Wave had an In Limbo II there too...that was pretty cool.

I think they've got a backer with deep pockets and are aiming for a mainstream market.

Man, typos galore I make...

Sorry about that...killer headache from so much road time (1 hr 20 min back plus bus ride).

Just thought about something else: Analog outfitters! dude, so awesome watching that vibrato run...they were awesome too...said they can't keep up with demand even at the high price point...I want one so bad! haha

Man, my instagram videos of the lightning wave stuff got cut off by, I think, bad signal? Sucks man...had like full range of stuff that they had...will see if I have the raw videos still...if not will get more tomorrow and put them on the instgram (or maybe my youtube).

You can only post 15 second clips to Instagram. Put em on YouTube and embed them here!

I know that...it was cutting them off at like 1 sec or less...even though the raw clip is 10 seconds (and can't be opened now)...weird. Going to try again...I'll just save the vids for youtube tomorrow I think.

Nevermind...fixed it. will get longer vids tomorrow.

Thanks neon!

Yea @contriviad to see the lightning bolt and the wave drawing on the lightning wave pedals...I'll try to get a demo in tomorrow...haha (but I will have these pedals!)

Oh yea! Oberhiem was showing some nice stuff way outta my range!

Funny story of the day: Like a group of six dudes were sitting behind me on the bus looking at some dudes board...All I know is that is was two strymon pedals and a disaster area controller...like a 1000 times they said "Yea, that is totally the gear needed for successful praise and worship guitar"...in many different ways...I was like "Why is that specifically 'the gear'?" in my head (sadly didn't speak up)...I don't get that mentality (can't you praise whoever with whatever? It's up to you to use the gear in a way that works, not let the gear define your work)...then I saw their badges and they were from some kind of church purchasing group or something...was weird. I dunno...

Oh, and business men in suits with an ice cream cone in one hand and a mixed drink in the other!

I don't get those dudes, but...I ran off a ton of P&W guys who insisted they were open to 'anyone' and 'anything' in regards to religion by posting in their thread on a a forum I administer (that has a no religion/no politics standard) about playing at a Gnostic Mass.

They were sure as denominational as hell immediately and evil Satanists weren't welcome.

You should totally get up in the middle of the floor and say something like:

"Excuse me. Can I have everybody's attention? Is there anybody in the house debuting a new ring modulator?"

Seen those mini delays this morning. Seems they may be out in the wild. Description doesn't say anything about preorder.
