Fender Blender Reissue

Post by agiant »

I'm about to trade one of my pedals for a Fender Blender Reissue. I've never tried a Blender before... :?:

Opinions on this pedal? Any love?

It looks nice

Its a cool bean super nasty end of the world type fuzz. There is however a bit of a volume drop but you can put that right pretty easily.
Also on bass its :!!!:

Yep, pretty righteous but yeah, volume drop. I think it's only like cutting 1-2 components for louder volumes.

I have one and it is my main fuzz. I haven't dealt with the volume drop issue though. I also never tried with bass, I wondering why I haven't done that either.

Don't these only operate off of a 9v only? That's what has stopped me from scooping one. I'd be delighted to find out that isn't the case though.

Isn't there a cheaper clone that has all of the problems with the original and reissue fixed?

I have an OG. The fuzz is insane, but it does have a pretty significant volume drop. In my experience it's not, however, due to the range of volume on the pedal, but rather what happens in the mix of a band. Disappears. I've just stacked it with a boost to remedy that in the past, easy enough.

Overall though, it's a helluva lot of fun. Nasty.

Yea, the drop is subjective to what you're using it for, as far as actual output, it's not lacking. It's not going to slam your amp with an extra 24dbs, but...it does just fine.

Reissue runs on battery or standard power input.

Love, love, love mine.

Be aware that pedalboard mounting takes work - there's a thumbwheel on the bottom that sticks out (can swap it with a screw if you're inclined, and the feet have to be removed for velcro mounting.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

Oh man I've been wanting a fender blender for a long time. Clone wise I only know of this kit, maybe someone real cool here can have it built in a BA enclosure? http://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/Flender_Cr ... 75807.aspx
