The $15,000 Pedal of your dreams

I got a laugh out of this. Thurston Moore mocked this pedal too. Although I heard (on the internet) that it was only incidentally named Grunge and was supposed to be for speed metal. I got one for $8 and modded it for overdrive. Sounds super heavy and is my favorite for bass distortion.

Makes me really question these "experts", no way is that thing worth $2000. Dude should have taken the $500 and bought a bootleg Morsite.

It is worth whatever people will pay for it. Cost doesn't dictate value. The value of this item (if it is in fact legit) comes solely from the fact that Kurt Cobain used it. It could be any item. A pedal, a guitar strap, a hypodermic needle. If Kurt used it, it is probably worth some good money to some super-fan who likes crappy music.

I think that goes without saying. But I think the difference is that it's being passed off as a pedal he used rather one that he just laughed at and threw offstage. Now if someone wanted it as a prop that showed the over-commericalization and marketing of grunge that would make more sense.

Everything on reality TV is fake. Everything. Haven't the sleuths at TGP found that many of those guitars supposedly 'found under daddies bed' were actually guitars that had been hanging around forever at Cow Town Guitars in LV?
