Anyone else own a Bg Muff Deluxe?

Post by smile_man »

I just fixed mine (I think), but when I use the "Comp Out" (just compressor) the footswitch doesn't turn it on/off. I cannot remember if the pedal was built that way, or if the manner in which I fixed the Muff circuit messed with the Comp. circuit.

Thank you.

If you have the latter Series/Parallel switch version (as opposed to blend) of the Deluxe Big Muff then the pedal is wired as always on so yeah I think that's correct.

If you're not sure though post a gut shot and then it can be compared to the schematic.

You could mod it with a 3PDT to not do that though if you wanted, but I don't suggest modding vintage EHX pedals.

Now give it to me :poke:

:p

It's the blend version. By "fix", I meant "poke some wires around until the sound comes back, then solder those in place", so I'm not sure if comparing it to the schematic would help much. Thanks for your help though. :)

I don't plan on using the comp side much anyways so it's no problem.

 That's the best way of fixing stuff.

I'm sure it's fine, if it's not broke don't fix it... again.

As do I, it's one of the first pedals I ever got. Have you seen the black ones?

Thanks for your help guys!

Is there a cooler EHX pedal? I argue not.
