grindy fuzz

Post by decomposing »

would you go more bassmaster or bee baa?
or am I way off here? been just using my rat or other pedals together I guess
but growly thunderous grind, not really distortion but :idk:
saw this
Malekko B:assmaster (more grindy and low-mids, excellent for note definition)
but really want a pale mare
think that will do the trick
I hear the behemoth II is cool.
even the meathead dark?
I have so many pedals to flip searching...
:poke:

There's a brassmaster clone on ebay for $65 right now :idk: Thought about getting it myself. Looks built nicely enough.

Like grindcore fuzz; or fuzz that just has a raspy fugly grind?

My arc meathead dark clone is killer for tight doomy grindcore fuzzstortion, and it's very raw and fuzzy. I loved the Jerms Brassy brassmaster clone I had too, but liked the Fuzzrite (clone again) better for nasty rock fuzz, or Ibanez Standard Fuzz (Outsound Fuzz Master - clone!) for super raspy octave fuzz of any variety; all three are looser sounding. Megalith is really dark and thick, I like it better on bass than guitar. The meathead is more articulate for that level of saturation.

Bet a heavy overdrive / bordering on fuzz would get that early grunge sound. EQD Monarch, Marshall Guv'nor plus, BAT Black Forest. Something with good tone control and low end. Big Muffs too. I don't remember what they used beyond Gibson / Marshall.

I tend to think of the Meathead dark as a perfect early Dwarves kinda fuzz.

yeah I just need to tweak them more and play louder.
finding a good place to jam lately has been an issue.
volume is probably the issue here.
