Drum machine INTO a synth is pure doomy awesomeness...

Post by echoraven »

Soooo I was jamming along with my Korg MS20 mini plugged into my Beat Buddy drum machine and the thought hit me; "what happens if I plug the Beat Buddy INTO the Korg MS20?". Dug around and got the cables, did the patchwork and HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS HOLY!!! When you played a note the Beat Buddy's rhythm would "pulsate" under the note. Very cool, ominous and "doomy".
I cleared some space on the iPad last night so hopefully I'll be able to record a few samples.

Sounds cool. Interested to hear the results.
Cool to see somebody using the beat buddy in a different context.

Yes and one of the out in the external signal section to the in on top near the high pass filter. I'll take a pic when I'm able to record.

I can't play the clip through ILF and when the "link" asks me to go SoundCloud to listen, nothing happens.

Stoopid me; no. But soon gonna try and recreate it to overlay some fuzzed out drop tuned guitar on it.
