That's Fender's Vintage White, I think. I.e. it looks like aged white paint.

I have a CVC Tele that looks the same. It is supposed to be Olympic White. But, I always thought Olympic White was whiter. :idk:

I got some good deals this year on old Fenders

77 Jazz I got with dead electronics. Put a set of EMGs in it -- it's quite an aggressive and growly old thing.

This is a 64 P that's been defretted. I put a Hipshot Detuner on it, and it's awesome.

And this bare naked lady is a 65 Jazz minus its original finish.

Yeah, I used to think this was Olypmpic White too but as you said Olympic White is definitely whiter. My Jaguar is Vintage White and it's the same colour as that bass...

Maybe it's that maple is fattening but that first J looks like it has a P nut. I'd hit it.

The P has dark, sexy fret lines. I have a 72 which I had defretted. The lines are light. Now I'm lusting after yours.

First real post on here and thought the best place to start on a forum is probably a "show your gear" kinda thread, right?

So, my main axe: a 1973 Gibson G-3 prototype I've had for two and a half years now. Thing's beaten up quite a bit and it really needs a refret, but still can be set up just right (for me).

Second is my Rickenbacker 2010 4001C64. This was quite the dare, as I had never played a similar RIC and I was buying it from the UK, but when I received.. Jeez, couldn't have been happier. Been switching between rounds and flats on this one; both sound good on this bass bring forth different tonal aspects of the horseshoe/ toaster pickup combination.
Image

Last is my 1968 Yamaha SA-70. Bought it on a whim and didn't disappoint. Sound can go from subby, but defined on the neck pickup to a really "tic-tac" kind of sound one the bridge pickup. Both on at the same time is the perfect mix between the two.
Image(Sorry for the hairy toes.)

I've had many more (Peavey T-40, Squier JV Precision, Tokai Fretless Jazz-Sound, etc.), but the ones listed above get used the most. Enjoy!

When I just bought the bass, it had flats. Took them off to swap them for EB rounds and while they were off I took the opportunity to unscrew the scratchplate to take a look inside (a habit I have with all of my gear). When I took it off I immediately saw a sticker that's located between the neck and neck pickup which said something like "Proto-III" followed by the serial and an approval by a Gibson technician which name I can't remember right now..

That's nuts. Does it have three pickups then? Hard to tell in that action shot.
