fellow lovers. i moved this thread over here with the hopes of genius interaction!
i know this might seem ridiculous, but does anyone here have experience fixing/changing switches on one of these pds 8000 echoplus 'boxes', or any older style digitech double pedal delays (i think they all had a similar switch scene)....my on/bypass switch is getting more finicky by the hour!
my tech is wonderful at amps, tape decks/tape delays, you name it....but these suckers are oddball!!! he's a studio guy....ex electric ladyland....and i need this to get done right AND quick cause i use it constantly....
any info would be VERY helpful....directing me to a great site, sharing YOUR experiences, or just plotting out the best way to go about changing the switch!!
thanks in advance for your fuzzlove of delay(s)....be blessed.

I couldn't find any info on digitech replacement switches, but would any of the miniature tactile switches from smallbear work? I'm not sure what exact type of switch the digitech uses....

Okay, I did a little more searching and I found an old HC post where I guy was looking for an older Digitech switch, and MelX told him to get DOD replacement switch off of ebay. Her links obviously were too old to work, but here's someone selling 50 of them for $12 lol http://cgi.ebay.com/50-Tact-Pushbutton-Switch-for-BOSS-Dod-Effect-Pedal-TPS_W0QQitemZ300366268200QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar_Accessories?hash=item45ef398728#ht_1463wt_737 those (or something like it) should work, that is, if they look anything like the one in your pedal.
I also saw an HC review where someone got one from Digitech, but not sure how much that would cost or how long it would take....

HA!!!! thanks a ton....my issue is actually getting the switch pad off!! it has 2 allen screws that one would THINK just unscrew easily, but they don't!!!!
i need to get in there and see if those will work....but that's a PUUUURFECT cache!
if ANYONE knows the 'tricks' to opening these things up, please hip to them!

hey ya'll.....i know, it's been a criminal absence, but really....i've been swamped.
at ANY rate....this post is to thank you ALL for pointing me in a variety of very helpful directions....
found the switch through the DOD outlet (online) and my tech cat was able to sort them BOTH out very successfully.
a WORKING 8000, yet again!
thanks....be blessed.
