I'm sad to say, I'm not even close to interested in most of what I've heard about at this NAMM. The only things that interest me are the modulars and the Lighting Wave pedals. The EQD shit just seems boring and rehashed shit from times before. Not trying to be a negative Nancy, just tired of the same old, same old. OH! The Darkglass stuff intriques me too! Doug is coming out with a bunch of shit he told me about a few years back. Which is exciting.

The Waldorf and Lightning Wave have all my attention this year. We'll see on the EQD stuff (I typically like them).

I'm assuming catalinbread is making a Albert Hoffman reference?

I'm curious, but aren't Strymon's modulation effects pretty shit?

Probably not happening, the op1 took ages to build. Besides, most of the lead designers for it left teenage engineering, which is not even a music company but a design firm.

I'm hoping for another company to put out a comparable product is what.

Is this a real thing? I don't even know what it does - but anything with drone, glitch, glide, and frostwave presets is :snax:

But, as you can see, it's a really good one.

I think it was April fools a few years ago. Been dying for them to actually make it though....

that looks real purrdy.
i looked at their website and claiming it's a 'new type of effect' is kinda silly seeing as the pitchfactor has been around for how many years now, but there seem to be some neat waveshaping and rhythmic gating kinda sounds tucked in there.

i really hope that Soul POG is a joke, but it really isn't, is it...

they're pretty hit and miss. i honestly like all their tremolos quite a bit but that's kind of a hard effect to fuck up. the phaser on the mobius is neat too.
i think they'd do cool synth/octave/pitch algorithms if they actually gave the parameters decent ranges of weirdness instead of balancing everything so every single sound it makes is 'nice', but yknow ;)

Lightning Wave is gonna take the cake this year though, that is prime aesthetic brilliance right there.
